The same layout, with Live the Truth 2.0 messaging
This is a separate editorial concept requested for comparison. It uses the layout, photography, three proof cards, Faith & Reason callout, faculty/staff grid and Slate integration from the existing-copy version. The production plan to reuse existing undergraduate copy until in-house rewriting is ready remains available as its own preserved version.
Proposed copy, not an approved in-house rewrite. Supplied admissions soundbites are combined with new Biology-specific supporting paragraphs. Program facts and proof need academic and editorial review. No enrollment or conversion benefit has been established. The earlier versions remain selectable from every prototype and notes page.
How the supplied messaging is applied
Source: FUS — Live the Truth 2.0 Messaging for Admissions / 2026, supplied in project sources. The document uses soundbites, supporting messages and proof, with audience translation for students and parents. This concept leads with the student’s ambitions, uses selected parent/value language in relevant sections, and retains the Live the Truth tagline.
| Placement | Soundbite or theme | Application and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Hero | “Serious about your future. Serious about your faith.” — direct soundbite. | The Biology Program H1 stays clear. The subtitle sets the academic and Catholic promise; the inquiry CTA remains the next step. |
| Overview | “Career-ready without compromise.” — direct soundbite. | Proposed supporting paragraphs connect the BA/BS, scientific inquiry, human dignity and service. The heading is aspirational brand language; it is not an employment or licensure guarantee. |
| Experiences | “Be ready for the work you’re called to do.” — first sentence of a supplied two-sentence soundbite. | Supporting copy connects practical learning and discernment. Existing course/travel references are contextualized with availability and selection questions. |
| Faith & Reason callout | “Faith can shape more than what you believe.” — direct soundbite. | Purposeful Lab and ethical cell-line research make the intellectual connection concrete. Faculty media is evidence of expertise and engagement, not a student placement. |
| Financial aid | “An academic investment with an eternal return” — direct soundbite. | Parent/value language introduces practical aid and cost routes. The proposed paragraph makes no financial return, universal affordability or scholarship-eligibility claim. |
| Career directions | “Four years should prepare you for more than your first job.” — direct soundbite. | Supporting copy broadens preparation to judgment, character and purpose while retaining the original six study subjects and five job titles. Further credentials may be required. |
| Career-support panel | “Become as capable as you are convicted.” — direct soundbite. | Links to Career Services, alumni and personal-vocation resources make a practical next step available. |
| Faculty | “Professors who expect more—and invest more.” — direct soundbite. | The existing eight-person roster stays intact. Proposed copy directs visitors to faculty expertise and Curt McGovern’s named research experience with Dr. Kyle McKenna. |
| Closing CTA | “Find it at Franciscan.” — direct soundbite. | Visit and inquiry actions close the journey. No quote is attributed to a student without a published source. |
“Learn with purpose. Prepare to serve.” and “Build a foundation for your calling.” are newly proposed headings, not quotations from the messaging document. The supporting body copy is also proposed. Gate 1’s community/joy and sacramental-life themes are expressed less fully here than the academic, mentoring and vocation themes; those need specific student-life evidence before further expansion.
What changed from the existing-copy version
- Promotional headings and supporting narrative were adapted for this comparison. Existing-copy versions preserve their original wording.
- Layout and functional structure stay the same: hero, overview/inquiry, blue facts, three stories, cream experiences, admissions, curriculum, green aid, careers, photo-backed support, faculty/staff, related programs and closing actions.
- The original degree/career lists, article links, portraits, names, roles and Slate major GUIDs are retained.
- The proposed copy does not repeat the legacy 70% research, 90% medical-school acceptance or 14:1 ratio. They remain as published, with review flags, in the preserved existing-copy version. No alternative statistics were invented.
- Story dates remain historical: Curt McGovern / Summer 2026 and research / Summer 2025. His physical-therapy goal is not presented as an achieved placement.
Institutional directive alignment
Source: Web Operations Priorities for Enrollment, September 2026. The template still answers what students do, who invests in them, where it may lead, how faith informs the discipline, and how to take the next step.
| Requirement | Implemented | Remaining before production |
|---|---|---|
| Field and distinct opportunity | Biology H1, lab imagery, paired academic/faith soundbite, inquiry CTA and degree options near the top. | Approve the headline, crop and primary conversion; user-test clarity. |
| Applied learning | Curt’s named project role, a wider research feature and contextualized course/fieldwork references. | Verify active opportunities, prerequisites, selection, timing and costs. |
| Faculty investment | Dr. McKenna/Curt connection, Purposeful Lab with Dr. Kuebler and the live department’s faculty/staff roster. | Add an approved first-person account of faculty guidance and what changed for a student. Review current titles. |
| Credible future | Specific possible study/career directions and practical career-support routes. | Add a verified dated graduate destination or supported aggregate measure; the current three cards do not establish placement rates. |
| Faith in the field | Ethical cell-line research and faculty conversations about science and Catholic thought. | Approve the summaries and, when possible, include an approved person’s explanation of a concrete disciplinary decision. |
| Practical next steps | Admissions, catalog, aid, support, visit and live Slate inquiry. | Controlled Slate submission, matching, major capture, routing, consent, confirmation and attribution remain untested. |
This is one design/editorial pilot. It does not complete the broader pilot-program selection, homepage/parent journey, campaign variants, proof publishing process or 90-day rollout. A proposed copy concept does not change the institution’s approval responsibilities.

Sources and implementation notes
- Supplied Live the Truth brand manual and Admissions Messaging / 2026 inform the visual and copy system.
- Software Engineering program page, Figma library and website documentation inform components.
- Latest Proof Stories Library, Curt McGovern, Cutting-edge Research and Purposeful Lab support the proof modules.
- Slate form c8b3b8fa-3c0d-4b9a-b8d2-32db4945b268 remains native. BA = 3c23e555-63c3-40aa-97d1-749509b5ced5; BS = 32a4fa84-7d25-45ac-ad47-b162ca4ead9a. Switching versions or degrees reloads the page/form and clears input. No test inquiry has been submitted.
- The manual palette, reduced-motion handling, responsive layouts and faculty-grid styling are retained. The production theme, ACF model, analytics, canonical URLs and consent integration remain future implementation work.
